Medieval chants at the beginning over a classic generic doom riff – you know you are in for a feast of troo DOOM. Lyrical content is equally effective in the DOOM stakes as it draws upon Thomas Cromwell’s ingenious yet barbaric dissolution of the monasteries during the reign of Henry the 8th. The final nail in this DOOM coffin manifests itself in the Latin words in the end section. Can you get anymore DOOM? 11/10
Electric Zombie
The answer to that is yes…with track 2 you get GROOVE DOOM. Or as some call it (much to Lee Dorian’s disgust) ‘THE DISCO DOOMS’. This track sounds like it tore a whole through time to get here from the 70’s in a black VW Campervan with a marijuana leaf flag flying proudly from the roof and the ‘take me to your dealer alien stencilled onto the side of the chassis’. Spacey vocals give it that classic Black Sabbath vibe but with a plodding groove that makes your head nod in approval and your face screw up in a ROCK GRIMACE that would make Angus Young proud. 666/10
