   • Anyone else digging the new mastodon record? They kind of lost me with a lot of the tracks on Blood Mountain, but absolutely loving the new one! The one with the neurosis guy singing has such an awesome simple riff. All the songs are strong. Rare case of actually liking a bands later output than their first couple of albums. Shame (for me) they won't be playing small venues anytime soon..

   • It's growing on me, but it's more song/vocal based, and the thundering riffs and rhythms of old take a back seat
     
     As an album on it's own, it's very good, but it's no Remission/Leviathan

     I know it's not a very popular opinion, but personally I loved Blood Mountain.
