Yeah, those tunes sound good. I reckon Somera Sol will still be difficult to prise from the stereo come BBQ season. ;)

    • Minus the Bear bought the sun out today, so I must mention 'Highly Refined Pirates.'

    • Si mentioned Hangnail 'Ten days before summer'. Was the firt thing I thought of. Maybe it's the title, although it does have a very 'warm' sound.

I think you must hve got me into them Si, I rember them playing at the Otherside, back in the day, with Nebula I think. Thinking about it 'To the Center' by Nebula is a good summer album. In which case Fu Manchu get a mention too.

And weezer also came into my head.

Anything by 10cc or zztop is good summer music too.

Nah, they supported Cathedral - Orange Goblin and Nebula played there the week after, I still have a massive poster for both gigs.
Fu Manchu is definitely summer music, y'bastard.

    • I couldn't remember which way round them gigs were. I remember you having that poster tho, on glorious Corp Dayglo orange probably!!!

They were two fucking sick gigs they were tho. Hangnail were way better than Cathedral, I remember that.
    • Tom PTom P
    • Brant
      Anything by The Meters
      All of Kyuss' shit
Some bass-heavy hip hop for rolling with the windows down, Cypress Hill's first album comes to mind

The best time/album combination ever is Circus Leaves Town with a bbq, during the magic hour between sunset and it actually getting dark. Beautiful.

Yeah, the new Ten East tracks are cool, good that Scott Reeder's involved as well. Scott's solo album "Tunnelvision Brilliance" is a great album, in case anybody hasn't checked it out yet!
